7. Marketing

1. Google Tag Manager

Our website uses Google Tag Manager.“Google” refers to a group of companies, including Google Ireland Ltd (the service provider), located at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; Google LLC, headquartered at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; and other affiliated companies of Google LLC.

Google Tag Manager is a service that allows managing any tracking tags on a website through a user interface.

Google Tag Manager is used to deploy tags that measure traffic and user behavior on our website. It does not access or store personal data but can trigger other tags that do, without having access to the information they collect.

Disabling cookies, whether at the domain or individual cookie level, will apply to all tracking tags implemented through Google Tag Manager.

For more information about Google Tag Manager’s Terms of Service and Google’s Data Protection Policy, please consult Google’s website:
https://marketingplatform.google.com/intl/en/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/

2. Google Consent Mode (Advanced)

Canaryfly provides its users, through its cookie consent banner, the ability to decide how third-party cookies are managed and used.

This banner allows you to choose whether to accept the use of third-party cookies for Performance or Marketing purposes.

Due to the obsolescence of third-party cookies, our website uses the "Google Consent Mode V2.0 Advanced". With this consent mode, users who accept Performance cookies via our banner consent to the encrypted collection of their information for analysis and conversion measurement purposes as "User-provided data" (See section 3.1). Conversely, users who reject these cookies have their IP anonymized, and only an anonymous ping is sent to Google Analytics (Section 3) without any identifiable information, for data modeling and report optimization.

Users who accept Marketing cookies in our consent banner allow personalized ads to be shown and some of their data to be shared encrypted for remarketing purposes (See section 4.1), as well as to improve conversion measurement via "Enhanced Conversions" (See section 4.2). They also consent to being part of customer segmentation lists, which are shared encrypted with Google Ads (See section 4.4). If users do not consent, only an anonymous ping is sent to Google Ads, without identifiable data, for data modeling and campaign optimization.

In Google Analytics and Google Ads, data is encrypted rather than stored in raw form. Therefore, anonymization and the right to data deletion do not affect the User Provided Data and Enhanced Conversions functionalities. The (SHA-256) algorithm ensures that encrypted data cannot be reverted to its original form, thus maintaining user integrity, anonymity, and privacy.

3. Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics; a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (https://about.google), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublín 4, Irlanda (“Google”).

This platform collects data from users visiting our website. This data is used to generate reports with performance statistics useful for our company. Additionally, this data is also used for advertising and marketing purposes.

The information collected is subject to the consent granted through our cookie consent banner. For a detailed explanation, please refer to the section titled "Google Consent Mode (Advanced)" (See section 2).

User consent constitutes the legal basis for the use of Google Analytics tracking. This consent can be revoked at any time via the cookie settings on our website.

3.1 User-provided data collection

In Google Analytics, the collection of user-provided data “User-provided data collection” will only be activated if consent has been given for Performance and Marketing. cookies. This feature uses a secure, one-way hash algorithm (SHA-256) to encrypt data before sending it to Google Analytics. The fundamental purpose is to improve measurement accuracy and optimize enhanced Google Analytics features without relying on third-party cookies, which are expected to disappear in the future.

The data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

Collecting user-provided data allows us to have a more comprehensive view of measurement and attribute conversions more accurately, as well as to relate your encrypted data to identify interactions with Google Ads that might otherwise go undetected without cookies or other user identifiers.

If the user has not provided consent through the cookie banner, this advanced option will only send an anonymous ping to Google Analytics for data modeling and report optimization and will not collect any encrypted data. Google Analytics Help contains a summary of data usage in Google Analytics and measures Google implements to protect that data.

More information about Google Analytics Terms of Use and Google’s Data Protection can be found in the respective documents.

4. Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords)

On our website, we use Google Ads, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Limited, located at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads is an online paid advertising tool that allows us to create ads and display them to users who are actively searching for services like those we offer.

User consent constitutes the legal basis for the use of Google Ads tracking. This consent can be revoked at any time via the cookie settings on our website.

This tool may be used on our website for the following purposes:

4.1 Remarketing

We use Google Ads remarketing on our website to display ads based on visitors’ interests across other Google network sites, such as YouTube, Display, etc. We analyze visitor interactions to show targeted advertising even after they leave our website. Users will be part of audience lists within Google Ads. This feature only activates if users consent to Marketing cookies (See section 2).

No user information will be sent to Google Ads if the user has not consented to Marketing cookies via the cookie banner, nor will they be part of these audiences.

4.2 Enhanced conversions

Due to the obsolescence of third-party cookies, Canaryfly has implemented Google Ads’ “Enhanced Conversions” for paid advertising campaigns. This feature shares your encrypted personal data to ensure ads reach the target audience and more accurately measure campaign impact.

Data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

Before sharing, data is encrypted with the (SHA-256) algorithm to match with an existing customer database and prevent use for other purposes. Data is only shared with Google Ads if you have accepted Marketingcookies. This consent is transmitted to Google Ads through “Google Consent Mode (Advanced)” (See section 2).

An anonymous ping is sent to Google Ads for users who have not consented via the cookie banner, without any identifiable information, for data modeling and paid campaign optimization (See section 2).

4.3 Offline conversions

If you consent to Marketing purposes in the cookies banner, you agree that your data may be shared encrypted with Google Ads using (SHA-256). algorithm. This allows us to improve the accuracy of offline conversion measurement by uploading click conversions containing hashed user identifiers and optional additional details that help link the conversion to the ad that generated the lead.

Data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

NNo user information will be sent to Google Ads if the user has not consented to Marketing cookies via the cookies banner.

4.4 Customer Match

Consent toMarketing cookies via the cookie banner enables the Google Ads Customer Match feature. This means your data will be shared encrypted with Google Ads using (SHA-256) algorithm to create user segmentation lists for personalized ads, remarketing audiences, and optimization of our Google Ads campaigns.

Data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

No user information will be sent to Google Ads if the user has not consented to Marketing cookies via the cookies banner.

For more details on how Google manages data in its ads and how cookies are used, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy and the "Technologies" section of Google’s website.

5. Meta Ads ((formerly Facebook Ads)

We use Meta Ads as Meta’s paid advertising tool for campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Threads, among others.

If you have consented to Marketing purposes in the cookies banner, our website will use the Meta pixel, Meta Conversion API, and the Meta Platforms Ireland Limited custom audience pixel (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (Facebook)). These pixels automatically collect and store data (IP address, visit time, device and browser information, and website usage information) based on specific events defined by us (such as visiting a website or signing up for our newsletter). This data is used to generate performance reports and marketing analytics.

The use of the Meta pixel and Conversion API is based on your consent, which can be revoked at any time via the cookies settings on our website.

5.1 Remarketing

If you have consented to Marketing purposes in the cookies banner, you will be included in audiences within this platform, allowing us to show personalized ads and improve campaign learning.

Data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

If you have not consented via the cookies banner, no user information will be sent to Meta Ads.

5.2 Advanced matching

Meta’s conversion tracking pixel monitors the actions of users who have consented to Marketing cookies via the cookies banner. This tracking occurs after users click on an ad and is used to optimize advertising campaigns on Meta and for statistical purposes.

As part of “Advanced matching” information is also collected and stored in hashed format for matching purposes, which may identify individuals (e.g., names, email addresses, and phone numbers). To enable this, the Meta pixel automatically sets cookies when you visit our site, allowing automatic recognition of your browser on other websites through a pseudonymous cookie identifier.

Meta combines pixel or Conversion API data with other data from the user’s Meta account to create reports on website activity and provide other related services, including personalized and targeted advertising. We have no control over Meta’s data processing; we only receive statistical data based on Meta pixels or Conversion API.

Data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

If you have not consented via the cookies banner, no identifiable information will be sent to Meta Ads.

5.3 Offline conversions

If you have consented via the cookies banner, your data will be shared encrypted with Meta Ads for Marketing. purposes. This allows us to improve offline conversion measurement by uploading click conversions containing hashed user identifiers and other optional details that help link conversions to the ad that generated the lead. This encryption method converts data into random codes that cannot be reversed or decrypted, ensuring the information remains unreadable.

Data that may be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street, city, region, country, or postal code).

If you have not consented via the cookies banner, no identifiable information will be sent to Meta Ads.

Data processing by Meta is conducted under Política de datos de Facebook.

6. Spotify Ads

We use Spotify Ads as a paid advertising tool for advertising campaigns on the Spotify platform. The provider of this service is Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19 SE-111 53, Stockholm, Sweden. According to Spotify, the collected data is also transferred to the USA (Spotify Ad Analytics, 4 World Trade Center, 150 Greenwich Street, New York, under standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

If you have given your consent for Marketing purposes in the cookie banner, our website will use the Spotify pixel and Spotify Conversion API. These pixels automatically collect and store data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about the use of our website) based on specific events defined by us (such as visiting a website or registering for our newsletter). This data is used to generate performance reports for our campaigns and for marketing analytics.

The use of the Spotify pixel and the Conversion API is based on your consent, which can be revoked at any time through the cookie settings on our website.

As the website operators, we have no influence over how Spotify uses the data, and Spotify is responsible for its own data protection practices.

6.1 Remarketing

If you have given your consent for Marketing purposes in the cookie banner, you will be included in audiences within this platform, which allows us to show you personalized ads and for the learning of our campaigns.

The data that could be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street address, city, state/region, country, and postal code).

If you have not given your consent in the cookie banner, no user information will be sent to Spotify Ads.

6.2 Alias matching

The Spotify conversion tracking pixel tracks the actions of users who have consented to Marketing cookies in the cookie banner. This tracking occurs after users click on an ad and is used to optimize advertising campaigns on Spotify Ads, as well as for statistical purposes.

As part of the so-called “Alias matching” information is also collected and stored in a hashed format for matching purposes, which can identify individuals (e.g., names, email, and phone numbers). For this purpose, the Spotify pixel automatically sets a cookie when you visit our website, which allows the automatic recognition of your browser when you visit other websites via a pseudonymous cookie identifier.

Spotify combines information from pixels or the Conversion API with other data from the user's Spotify account to create reports on website activity and provide other services related to the use of the website. These services include personalized and specific group advertising. We have no control over the data processing performed by Spotify; we only receive statistical data based on the Spotify pixels or the Conversion API.

The data that could be collected and shared includes: (email, phone number, first name, last name, street address, city, state/region, country, and postal code).
